Dhanvantari Swami

Dhanvantari Swami (Ivan Augusto Ribeiro Lisbon) is a disciple of A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and a ISKCON initiating guru. He holds the title of Bhakti Sastri by ISKCON Board of Examinations (India). He founded the Seminary Hare Krishna of Philosophy and Theology. Currently is Coordinator and Professor of the Seminary, where he made his residence. He was Professor of the Graduate Religious Sciences, Federal University of Paraiba (UFPB) and a pioneer in education in Brazil ISKCON. 
Dhanvantari Swami corresponded constantly with Srila Prabhupada was through letters and through it the first devotees came to Brazil to open temples. His first initiation took place in August 1977, two months before Srila Prabhupada left the planet. His second initiation took place on the Appearance of Nityananda in 1978, the Temple of the Savior, given by the Hridayananda Goswami, and was initiated in renounced order of life (sannyasa) in 1985.     Picrure gallery >>
