Vraja - Vrindavan

Vraja is a region mainly in Uttar Pradesh of India, around Mathura-Vrindavan. It is considered to be the land of Krishna.

In Vraja is many holy places connectet to Lord Krishna for example: Gokul, Vrindavan, Govardhan, Kusum Sarovar, Varsana, Radhakund and many others. Region is closely related to the Vedic epic Mahabharata. Krishna is said to have spent his childhood and adolescence in Vraj.

The most popular temples include:

Madan Mohan Temple. This is the oldest temple in Vrindavan. The temple is closely associated with the Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
Radha Vallabha Temple, set up by the Radha-Vallabh sampradaya, has the crown of Radharani placed next to the Shri Krishna image in the sanctum.
Sri Radha Raman Mandir, constructed at the request of Gopala Bhatta Goswami around 1542 is one of the most exquisitely crafted and revered temples of Vrindavan, especially by the Goswamis.
Govindaji Temple was once a magnificent seven storeyed structure. It is said that the Akbar donated some of the red sandstone that had been brought for the Red Fort  for the construction of this temple.
Radha Damodar Mandir Located at Seva Kunj, the Mandir was established in 1542 by Srila Jiva Goswami. The bhajan kutir of A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is also situated at the Mandir.
