ISKCON Visakhapatnam, Hare Krishna temple - video gallery
May 1999 Samba Das and his wife reached Visakhapatnam from the US to build an ISKCON centre here. With no backing, no funds to speak off and a language they started from absolute scratch. To begin with, they called in people to partake in Krishna Bhajans and Gita Prayanam. They interacted with youth and taught them, bhajans, mantra meditation, yoga and similar activities. Ultimate aim - too build a grand temple complex for Krishna, a project they fondly named the 'Glory of Andhra'. And finally today the temple is coming to rise and deities are installed. Behind is a complex that houses Seminar Hall and guestrooms for ISKCON Life-Member.
