ISKCON Youth Forum was started in order to spread Krishna consciousness to college and university students in Karnataka. A youth wing of our organization, dedicated to apprise the youth in the divine teaching of scriptures like Bhagvad Gita which are the magnum opus amongst all literatures and purely scientific and practical, thus acts as beacon lights for their aimless or misdirected life. We conduct seminars in universities, different colleges, in the temple premises several times in a year. A weekly program in temple is conducted for regular guidance of sincere students to train them.

The Sunday ‘Love Feasts’ go back to the very beginning of Srila Prabhupada’s ISKCON period, which began in the mid-1960’s. He introduced this weekly festival as part of his overall preaching program. Youngsters were insatiably attracted to Krsna prasadam. Srila Prabhupada had introduced the regulative principles of controlling sex life and eating, and these daily austerities were challenging for many of the neophyte devotees. As a result, the Sunday Feasts were anticipated with great relish. Very opulent preparations were prepared, in great quantity and variety.

For the future generation of this world, we at ISKCON Belgaum have exclusive spiritual educational programmes. At our temple premises and in the houses of members of our society we conduct spiritually nurturing program for children of various age groups. We also conduct various competitions for school students like the one conducted in the year 2010 named ‘BHAGVAD GITA Contest’ held on district level, which attracted more than four thousand school students and thus opened a massive preaching field and introduced the divine teachings of Lord Krishna to these innocent.
