Ottawa, Canada's capital city, has had an ISKCON centre here since 1971. The temple was first located on Besserer St., then moved to Cyrville Rd. where Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai deities were installed in 1975. In 1981, the property for the current location of the temple (212 Somerset St. E.) was acquired. In 2010, ISKCON Ottawa celebrated the 35th anniversary of the installation of Their Lordships Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai.

Govinda - Tired of the typical vegan/vegetarian buffet where you either leave hungry or feel financially violated? I know I am. But the good news is, in Ottawa, there’s a solution. Enter ‘Govinda’s Natural Vegetarian-Vegan Buffet’. Govinda’s is Ottawa’s first and oldest vegetarian restaurant, and has been operated by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) since 1981. Govinda’s offers a delicious ‘All You Can Eat’ buffet that is ‘100% Vegetarian, Vegan, and Karma Free’. The meal cost only seven dollars! Govinda’s is located at 212 Somerset Street East in Ottawa. They’re open Monday-Friday from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
