By the mercy of their Lordships Jagannath, Baladeva, and Subhadra we had our first Rathyatra festival in Huntsville, Alabama on July 13, 2008. It had been a long cherished desire of the devotees in Alabama to have a Rathyatra festival in the state of Alabama. The event was organized by the Hindu temple in Huntsville in conjunction with the ISKCON devotees in Alabama. The devotees led the kirtan amidst the scorching sun, light drizzle and heavy rainfall. It was an event that will live in our memories for a long time.
