TOVP Announces: Jvala Nrsimhotsava, Festival of Lights for Nrsimhadeva, October 31, 2024

On March 1-2, 2024, the Nrsimhadeva Wing in the TOVP reached the first milestone and opened for all devotees to view. Now, to celebrate the next milestone of completion of the construction work in the Wing, another grand celebration is scheduled on Diwali, October 31, 2024: Jvala Nrsimhotsava, Festival of Lights for Nrsimhadeva.

This completion celebration will conclude Phase 2 of the Wing which includes the marble walls and columns, intricate flooring with beautiful inlays and more. Phase 3 will include two floors of exhibits and paintings, scheduled to begin some time after the three-month-long TOVP Grand Opening from December, 2026 until Gaura Purnima, 2027.

Included in the Phases 1 and 2 completion is the entire altar, pillars, floor, chandelier, doors, walls, and dome interior. Prior to beginning Phase 3, the next focus is the completion of the main wing of the TOVP which includes the 300’ long altar, in preparation for the relocation of all our beloved Mayapur Deities into Their new home in 2026/27.

The auspicious Diwali completion celebration will also kick off the Kartik Yatra program of HH Radhanath Swami with his disciples. This week-long event will be attended by 10,000+ devotees, and is being facilitated inside the TOVP.

5:00pm / 7:30am US EST – Grand welcoming of Lord Nrsimhadeva to the TOVP in the Sahasra Deep Mandala
5:15pm / 7:45am US EST – Glorification of Lord Nrsimhadeva with Nrsimha Pancamrta Stotra by Lord Rama Arati
5:30pm / 8:00am US EST – Speeches by HH Jayapataka, HH Radhanatha Swami and others
6:30pm / 9:00am US EST – Nrsimha drama
7:00pm / 9:30am US EST – Maha Arati, offering of dipas and kirtan
7:30pm / 10:00am US EST – Lord Nrsimhadeva returns
