Not One Blade of Grass

It is said not one blade of grass moves without Krishna knowing it. How can this be?

Indeed this suggests that everything is connected or at one, consequently when one part of the gigantic body moves the other parts are aware, and in the case of Krishna fully conscious of it. Although how matter is conscious because of the presence of the Supersoul in each atom, is currently unknown to science.

Indeed this suggests that everything is connected or at one, consequently when one part of the gigantic body moves the other parts are aware, and in the case of Krishna fully conscious of it. Although how matter is conscious because of the presence of the Supersoul in each atom, is currently unknown to science.

In Einstein's Theory of Relativity, and as Sadaputa prabhu says, it can be understood in simple terms as matter being a series of points not necessarily directly connected. For instance, if you push a long iron bar, Einstein says the point where the iron bar is pushed from moves first, and the end of the bar moves later. However, Quantum Physics does not work like that, and the phenomena called 'nstant communication' between two particles billions of miles apart is accepted, which is contradictory to the Theory of Relativity, thus the iron bar moves as a whole.

The Big Bang Theory is at fault, unless someone can reconcile Quantum Physics and Classical Physics, and produce something that brings the two together, something the physicists hope to do. We would suggest adding consciousness into the equation.

So this quantum jump, which Einstein called 'spooky action at a distance', holds true to the Vedic understandings of the one variegated brahman energy extended throughout space time. Whatever is happening in the waves of let's say the atomic realms of one part is known by the whole instantaneously. All this happening beyond, of course, the speed of light, which Einstein could never accept wholeheartedly. He was not fond of quantum mechanics.

This knowledge of matter, full knowledge, applies also to Consciousness. What one particle of consciousness is doing is understood by the whole instantaneously. This Srila Prabhupada has given us understanding of.

TRANSLATION

"O scion of Bharata, you should understand that I am also the knower in all bodies, and to understand this body and its owner is called knowledge. That is My opinion.

PURPORT

While discussing the subject of this body and the owner of the body, the soul and the Supersoul, we shall find three different topics of study: the Lord, the living entity, and matter."

Srila Prabhupada has a longer purport to refer to.

So all in all, the all-pervading brahman energy understood in the Vedas suggests oneness, and the instant communication of the state of two particles billions of miles apart, readily accepted by modern physicists, we can say parallels this Vedic truth of one part of the universe knowing what another part is up to instantaneously. Oneness.
