In ISKCON Haridwar, the seed of Krishna consciousness was personally planted by Bhaktisidhhanta Saraswati Thakur. There he established Gaudia math centre. Srila Prabhupada also visited Haridwar with his many foreigner disciples in May 1977. It was the year 1992 when Nava Yogendra Swami came here with few devotees and started regular preaching program for local residents and visitor and soon he was able to get a small place for preaching having 2-3 rooms and a small lawn. We shifted our temple in the new building & the first official ISKCON centre got started in 1994. In 2007 we started renovations and modified this centre. Now stands a small but beautiful temple hall along with a nice altar where Sri Gopal ji & Sri Sri Gaur Nitai are seated. We have a small guest house having 5 rooms.
