ISKCON South Africa Documentary on Srila Prabhupada & Hare Krishna
This documentary was produced at the time of the first Chatsworth Ratha-yatra in 2005. Herein are interviews with a few Hare Krishna devotees and they outline some of the history of ISKCON in South Africa. Most importantly we should not forget the importance of His Divine Grace A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada who brought the chanting of the Hare Krishna maha mantra to the West so that we could all take the opportunity to become free from birth, death, old age and disease. And also that we can become supremely happy in this lifetime. Krishna is God, it is that simple!
If you ever go to South Africa don't miss out on a visit to The Temple Of Understanding in Chatsworth, near Durban. Chatsworth is a maze, and driving yourself there is not recommended. It's better to visit the temple with someone who knows how to get around the area, or go on an organized tour. Open daily 10 am-8:30 pm.
