Siliguri, July 29 (ANI): India is a land of colourful and festive hues. And Rathyatra, or the festival of chariots, is one such occasion that is celebrated in different parts of the country with great fervour and enthusiasm. During the festival, three deities, namely Jagannath or Lord Krishna, Balabadhra and Subhadra are installed in a chariot implying the beginning of monsoon season in the country. In Siliguri, situated in eastern state of West Bengal, the festival besides being celebrated for Lord Krishna also provides a perfect example of communal harmony.
