Meera (1979)
From early childhood, Meera considers herself married to God, but political reasons force her into an earthly marriage with a prince. She refuses to have intimate dealings with him, so the royal court decides that Meera should die rather than have two husbands. Meera vanishes in the Lord's temple. Her beautiful songs to Lord Krishna are sung throughout India to this day. Meera is played by India's foremost actress and ISKCON Member, Hema Malini. Hindi with English subtitles. Color 120 minutes.
Meera is a 1992 Tamil romance film directed by P. C. Sreeram. It was also his directorial debut. The film stars Vikram and Aishwarya while Poornam Viswanathan, Gandhimathi, Janagaraj, Chinni Jayanth, Tarun played supporting roles. Nassar and Sarath Kumar make friendly appearances. More info >>
