Testing Animal-Drawn Tillage Tools at Tillers International

Tillers folks are in an on-going process of designing, building and testing animal-drawn tillage tools to meet the challenge of low-disturbance, conservation tillage. Here, we test a new, steerable, over-the-row cultivator and a zone-till ripper for creating a water conserving absorbtion bed for direct planting. These prototypes will be on the ground in east Africal for rigorous testing in just a few days. This is in October, no row crops for cultivating, so we had to create our own. The oxen are puzzled by this new crop.
