Video [shot with my new Sony TX10 waterproof digicam] of a taxi ride back to downtown Siem Reap after a spectacular visit to Angkor Wat [first 30secs]. Starts at 0:30, the flooding gets progressively worse, at 6:10 it is insane, worst flooding in Siem Reap in ages apparently. Eventually our taxi driver Sim Sopheak has to abandon the journey on Sivutha Boulevard. The flooding was due to swelling of the Siem Reap River from heavy monsoon rain upstream in Thailand, several people died. The second half [7:15] is footage of traffic on the road [now a river] outside our very comfortable hotel, the Hotel de la Paix. The TX10 was perfect for the job, nice camera. There is wind noise on the audio cos i was hanging the digicam out of the taxi-window [in the rain]. Yes I know I spelt Angkor wrong at the start of the vid!
