About Swami Samarpanananda Saraswati
* Swami Samarpanananda was born at Orissa, India, on 30th May 1972.Graduated in Science with Botany (Honours), Utkal University, Orissa in 1989. He left home on 30th August 1990 and joined spititual gurukul (family of masters) life in Rishikesh at Shivananda Ashram on 8th September 1990.
* Took Isthadeva-Mantra-Initiation from H. H. Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj, the president of the Divine Life Society (DLS), Shivananda Ashram,Rishikesh on December 21st. 1990.
* Completed the 15th Yoga Vedanta Forest Academy (YVFA) course in 1990 on the philosophy & psycology of Yoga & Vedanta. In 1992 he was appointed Yogacharya of YVFA, Headquarters Shivananda Ashram, Rishikesh, Himalayas.
* Joined Bihar School of Yoga and met his venerable Guruji in 1990. He then took Brahmachari Diksha on 19th Feb.91 and completed successfully the one year Sannyasa course under guidance of Paramahamsa Niranjanananda. He was initiated into Dashanami Sannyasa in the order of Adi Guru Sankaracharya, age of 22, November 8th 1993.
* Met with the Divine Mother Maa Amritanandamayi, Kerala in 1992.
* From 1994 to 1998 maintained Gurukul discipline and ascetic monk lifestyle while studying classical philosophy of India in the order of Adi Guru Sankaracharya in Advaita Vedanta, a lineage which dates 800 A.D. at the Holy Kailash Ashram, Rishikesh, Himalayas
