Anchaleshwar Temple, Chandrapur....Maharastra

The city of Chandrapur has ancient temple of Anchaleshwar, a form of the god Shiva. The Anchaleshwar Mahadeva temple is just outside the Gond fort in Chandrapur town. The temple was built in the 1540 t0 1615 century by Dhundya Ram Sah a tribal king from the Gond dynasty. The Anchaleshwar temple was built of the east gate of the fort of Chandrapur.There are deities carvings and depicted its tribal character. In the main worship area (called as gabhara) where amazing Stone carved ladies with oil lamps are seen. Outer walls of temple, miraculously carved with deities & mythology.
