Anantapur Hare Krishna ISKCON temple was inaugurated by Governor ND Tiwari in 2008 with great pomp. In Anantapur gives an opportunity to all the people in the surrounding area to take advantage of the full facility for becoming Krishna conscious, by seeing the Deities, hearing philosophy, and taking part in festivals. Minister for Agriculture, said at the opening ceremony that the organisation was supplying nutritious food to students of government schools in about 200 villages in and around Tirupati, and agreed to extend the services to Anantapur.
